Alex Lavelle

Born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio, Alex is a 2013 graduate of Lake Ridge Academy. Upon high school graduation Alex pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism at Ohio University where she graduated summa cum laude in 2017. She then went on to attend Florida State University College of Law as a Preeminent Scholar, where she graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctorate in 2020.

While at FSU, Alex spent the majority of her time in the Public Interest Law Center where she worked on a mix of family law related issues; the representation of children in the adult prison system with a special focus on the surrounding policy issues; and providing legal services to individuals seeking injunctions for protection against their abusers. The experiences helped to better instill and hone a passion for helping those in their moments of need, especially during the most isolating of times.

Upon graduation from law school, Alex decided to return home to pursue her legal career. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2020 and joined Leslie Murray Law in 2021 where she primarily focuses on family law and helping her clients navigate the legal process during a particularly vulnerable time. Alex believes that everyone needs an ally and an advocate and works hard to ensure the best results are reached for her clients.

When Alex is not in the office she can be found enjoying her time back in Northeast Ohio with her family, friends, and dog. She is especially excited to spend her weekends on the lake and her evenings cheering on her beloved Cleveland sports teams.
